Remembrance Sunday

The parade will start at 10:40 am, making its way through Bridge Street, Market Hill, and Church Street. Please note that these roads will be temporarily closed from 10:30 am for about 30 minutes to ensure the safety of all involved. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

At 10:50 am, everyone will gather around the war memorial for a remembrance ceremony. This will include the reading of names, wreath-laying, and an Act of Remembrance. The Last Post will be played, followed by a two-minute silence. After Reveille, the parade will proceed into the Church for a service.

Following the service, the parade will reconvene in the churchyard and march down to Market Hill for speeches.

Christmas event in 2024.

Father Christmas has confirmed that he will devote a whole afternoon of his busy schedule entirely to Framlingham and rumour has it that he may even be found walking on the Castle Walls around 2pm- not a sight to be missed.

To celebrate this, there will be free live music on the Market Hill and free admission to Framlingham Castle and the Lanman Museum for residents of the town (with ID proof of address) and a Charity Raffle in aid of the Framlingham Guides & Scout Group with generous prize donations from businesses across the town.

All this will take place from 2:30pm until 5:30pm on Saturday 23rd November. The afternoon will culminate with the switching on of the Christmas lights in Market Hill.
