Local water supply issues
We have just received this service message from Anglian Water:
We wanted to make you aware of a difficult water main repair that our teams have been working on through the night and into this morning, which is affecting customers in the area.
People living in the areas around Halesworth, Dennington, Saxtead and Framlingham in Suffolk may be experiencing low water pressure or no water this morning (Thursday, January 18).
Our teams are continuing to work to repair a burst water main near our Walpole Water Treatment Works. Due to the location, this is proving a difficult operation in challenging conditions, with sub-zero temperatures, but we hope to complete the repair soon.
Once the repair is complete, those affected should see supplies and pressure return through the morning.
We apologise for the impact this is having on our customers and we understand how difficult interruptions to water supply can be for our customers.
Our teams are working hard to get the situation resolved as soon as we can.
Updates on the situation will be posted for customers through our Facebook page and on X/Twitter at @eswater_care.
We are asking for customers to not call us unless it is an emergency as we want to keep the lines free for urgent requests for help. However, should you be contacted by any customers who are experiencing difficulties or require extra support, please do let us know and we will pass their details to our Customer team.
Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Regards,
Kieran Ingram
