1st Framlingham Scouts
1st Framlingham Scout Troop has a membership of approximately 30 boys and girls, whose ages range from 10½ to 14½ years, where the aim is to build and develop young people's confidence, sense of adventure and outdoor skills by working as part of a team.
The troop is part of Framlingham Scout and Guide Group, which also includes Beavers, Cubs, Explorers, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. Troop night is on a Thursday night between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm, meeting at the Scout and Guide HQ on Badingham Road.
Scouts are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities as part of their programme including traditional Scouting skills, such as camping, survival and cooking. Our main camp each year is our summer camp where we spend eight days in places such as Devon, Wales, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales or cycling round Norfolk. Other weekend camps or activities are arranged either at Troop, District or County level.
